Jammu, July 9: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today visited Jagti Township and met shopkeepers Association. Ambardar was apprised by the association that they have been running from pillar to post in order to get their shops allotted in Jagti Township. "Despite having deposited the required fees for the same the government instead of allotting them the shops ordered CID verification to verify if they had shops at erstwhile camps or not which the BJP MLC termed as grave injustice and assured the association that will take it up with the government on priority and will try to get the CID verification order revoked", association informed MLC. Ambardar said that all the new shops which have been constructed should also be handed over the member of the association as logically and prudently they are the ones who should have first claim on the new shops in the Jagti township and assured the president of the association that he will take up the same with the ministry in unequivocal terms so that livelihood of so many families is restored without any further delay Ambardar also visited the site of new shops which have been constructed in Jagti township and showed his deep concern on the material which had been used in the construction which on the face of it looks of very low quality and spoke up the concerned authority on the spot an told them to rectify is on priority Amongst others present on the occasion were TN Bhat President Kashmiri Displaced Unit, Pyare Lal Pandita and Munoo Ji Tickoo members of pending shopkeepers association Jagti Township. |
