NPSU stages protest demonstration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 9: National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists led by Thakur Virender Singh today held a massive demonstration infront of Jammu University gate. According to press release, Singh further the students who gathered in the morning at the University entrance gate and raised slogans against BJP-PDP coalition and burnt the effigy of Dy. CM, Dr. Nirmal Singh for increased discrimination against Jammu region after the formation of coalition government. He further said that the admonished of the coalition government for framing two different sets of laws for Jammu and Kashmir Provinces for undergoing B.Ed course. He regretted that while students of Jammu Province will have to undergo two years of study and training for getting B.Ed degree, the Kashmiri counterparts would avail of the same degree in one year. He deplored that despite large scale resentment amongst the educated youth, students and civil society, the BJP legislators and Ministers had chosen to remain silent with not a single wood uttered by any of the BJP leaders on such hostile discrimination. Lovely Singh, Shubam Jasrotia, Sourav Singh, Ajay Singh and Sumit Jamwal were also present on the occasion. |
