Jammu, July 9: A jawan of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) was arrested after he allegedly opened fire in inebriated condition in District Police Lines (DPL) Samba. "Identified as constable Gopal Singh of JKP (Armed) wing presently posted with Anti-Fidayeen Squad set up for Amarnath Pilgrimage late this evening allegedly fired few rounds from his service rifle in inebriated condition, sources said
They said that he was immediately taken under the custody, adding, ''no injury or damage was reported in the incident.''
The cop was taken to the hospital for medical, sources saida adding tha the matter further is being investigated. |
