UDHAMPUR, July 9: For information of general public, especially the pilgrims embarking upon Shri Amarnathji yatra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur has stated that there is every possibility of heavy rains across the district on Friday and Saturday i;e, July 10 and 11.
The people have been cautioned not to venture out in avalanche and landslide prone areas during these days. He has also cautioned against any movement along rivers and nallahs during the period. The people have also been advised to take all necessary precautions and avoid unnecessary travelling during this period.
He said that district has alerted all the officers and official of concerned departments to remain at their head quarters and in complete readiness to meet any eventuality. He also directed all the officers to activate their men and machinery to ensure that there is no disruption in Shri Amarnathji Yatra, essential services, power supply, water supply, health care services etc. |
