SDM conducts market checking, imposes fine on defaulters | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, July 9: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bhaderwah Mohd Anwar Banday today conducted market inspections in the whole Bhaderwah town and booked erring traders for violating Essential Commodities Act. Official spokesperson said, the team led by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bhaderwah conducted surprise visits to markets of Pasri Bus Stand, Seri Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar, Jai road, Takyia Chowk, Court Road, Ganpat Bazaar, Kotli Road and etc and inspected 70 business establishments besides collecting a fine upto the tune of Rs. 16000/- as fine from 54 erring traders for violation of the Essential Commodities Act. "The team also destroyed stale vegetables and fruits, recovered polythene bags and, domestic LPG cylinders and other objectionable material from the markets, official added. Meanwhile team also issued strict instructions against encroaching the roads/paths, selling the sub standard goods and using polythene bags. Later talking with this media person SDM Bhaderwah along with SDPO Bhaderwah Sajjad Khan said that he has directed the municipality officials to keep a proper check of markets of Bhaderwah town apart from keeping the town area neat and clean. |
