Ramban, July 9: Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department Ramban on the direction of District Development commissioner Ramban, Farooq Shah Bukhari has intensified the market checking in the town Ramban and checked quality and rates of fruits, Vegetables, Milk, Chicken, Mutton and other eatables on Wednesday. According to press release, special market checking squad comprising TSO Ramban, Chamel Singh, Naib Tehsildar, G H Sahmat, SHO Ramban Ajay Singh Chib and officers of different departments "The squad has intensified its activities and since last two weeks we have recovered fine from defaulters. Besides, we conducted checking of shops and vendors and also seized rotten and subsidized food items, vegetables and fruits," they said the squad would continue its activities and violators would be dealt strictly. TSO Ramban informed that a total of Rs.12800 fine was recovered, rupees 2800 from Restaurants, Davas, Vegetable shops, Chick shops and rupees 10000 fine realized from two defaulters LPG gas agencies both HP and Indian LPG gas agencies for not providing home delivery facility to people. Shopkeepers, vendors and especially Gas agencies were instructed to strictly sell commodities according to the rate issued by the government, CAPD. "Otherwise action would be taken," he warned. |
