46th Bank Nationalisation Day observed 7/20/2015 11:55:05 PM Early Times Report jammu, July 20: Bank employees and Officers of Jammu spearheaded by Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation observed the 46th Bank Nationalisation day On this occasion a large number of Bank employees and officers gathered at the Federation office in a mass meeting. The meeting was attended by employees from all the local bank branches, besides some employees having come from the rural areas of Jammu as well. Incidentally the Bank employees also observed the day as DEMANDS DAY, and put forth their demands, whereby they demanded including stop to banking sector reforms, no privatisation of public sector banks, recapitalise and strengthening of public sector banks, stringent measures be initiated to recover the huge bad loans and others. Addressing gathering, Com. Arun Kumar Gupta General Secretary of the Federation, who while paying tribute to the founding fathers of AIBEA asked all bank employees to recall and hail the achievements of public sector banks in our country.Com Gupta reiterated employees commitment to people oriented social banking and also renewed employees pledge to fight against all attacks on public sector banking. He cautioned the audience against the hectic efforts on the part of the present Government to weaken public sector banks, by diluting Government's equity capital, and allow Banks to come up under corporate houses in private sector. He spoke against the Government's efforts to push through the banking sector reforms.
