Omar leaves Farooq alone in his fight over JKCA headship | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 20: While Farooq Abdullah was fighting a coup within JKCA to dislodge him from the post of president that he has held for 32 years, Omar had seemingly left his father alone in his battle. The former CM, who had crossed 10-lakh followed on his twitter account, had not made any tweet in support of his father. He had on the other hand just re-tweeted the post that Farooq Abdullah has been sacked as JKCA president. Omar has had differences with his father with regards to his cricket politics. Omar had commented that sports bodies should be managed by sportspersons alone. The statement had come when NC was shamed over JKCA scam. It was specific hint that he did not like his did not come out in his support. "Omar will tweet on every thing at the drop of a hat. He tweeted about his favourite songs but just couldn't get the time to tweet in support of his father. He had crossed 10-lakh follower and his tweet could have generated a debate going by the number of his follower but his silence speaks that he is not interested," a senior leader said adding, Farooq Abdullah is ailing and had come to the Srinagar shows his liking for the post. "Even if it is assumed that Farooq is unfit for JKCA headship, even then son should have supported his ailing father in any case. "It will widen the divide within the party and could have serious repercussion for Omar himself, who had just managed to save his seat by less than one thousand votes," said the senior leader. |
