BJP leaders themselves creating hurdles in sanctioning AIIMS for Jammu | Dirty political game within Saffron Party: | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 20: Contrary to the tall claims of state BJP leaders, the party high command and some central ministers have refused to discuss the issue of setting up AIIMS at Jammu at this point of time. Some insiders in the BJP are working over time to ensure that Union Government would not make any announcement regarding sanctioning of AIIMS for Jammu region. Credible sources in the BJP said that it was result of the infighting within the party that Centre has not given any serious thought to the deadline set up the state unit of the party get AIIMS announced for Jammu region. "Some BJP leaders are not happy over working of PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir and these leaders are looking every opportunity to sabotage smooth functioning of coalition", credible sources said and adde that it is handiwork of these "selfish" leaders that Union Government has been adopting delay tactics in making announcement of AIIMS. Credible sources said that Union Government has almost decided to announce AIIMS before July 20 but some BJP leaders have cautioned that making announcement at this point of time would help the AIIMS Coordination Committee to take credit of this announcement. These leaders have successfully convinced some central leaders that announcing AIIMS at this point of time would legitimize credibility of the Coordination Panel. "Actually these leaders are playing their dirty game to make their own party ministers in the coalition unpopular among common masses in Jammu region", sources said and added that gameplan of these leaders was to undermine credentials of incumbent party ministers and get them replaced in the coming days. Sources said that when Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and Forest and Social Welfare Minister, Bali Bhagat had given written to the Coordination Committee on June 18, they were assured by the high command that announcement would be made before July 20 but own party leaders sabotage the entire process for their petty personal political gains. |
