| Union minister to participate in national level seminar | | | Early Times Report
jammu, July 20: Convener of Tawi Andolen, Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma today announced here that the Union Minister for Environment , Forest and Climate Change, Parkash Javedekar will participate as Chief Guest in the national level seminar being held at Jammu on the issue of Environment Protection, plight of River Tawi and other water bodies.
This was disclosed by Advocate Sharma, convener of Tawi Andolan and Universal Harmony and Healthy Earth Foundation, Jammu, after meeting with the minister at Delhi, last week. He was addressing the gathering of Tawi Andolan activist at Tawi Ghat.
Dr. Devinder Singh Manyal, MLA Samba who had come special to participate in the Tawi Arti, appreciated the efforts and vision of Tawi Andolan for rejuvenation of River Tawi.
He said that he being the member of standing Committee on Environment of Legislative Council shall put up vigorously the cause of River Tawi and other water bodies of Jammu Tawi.
He further said that he will support the demand of creation of Tawi Development Board for over all development of river as a Tourist Destination. Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman Mata Chintpurni Seva Society, in his speech extended full support to Tawi Andolan and said that he will organize Medical Camp in support of Tawi Andolan.
Meanwhile, Girish Sharma joined Tawi Andolan along with his supporters Gurdeep Kour Randhawa along with other ladies joined Tawi Andolan. |
