HC orders Govt to deport 5 Pak nationals | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, July 20: The State High Court has ordered deportation of five Pakistan nationals to their country within six weeks. Disposing of separate petition last week, a Single Bench of Justice Hasnain Massodi ordered deportation of Fakhr-ul-Zaman of Gujranwalla Pakistan, Syed Qasim Shah Badshah of Peshawar, Tanveer Ahmad Tanwari, Waseem Noor Jet and Mohammad Mikhail, both from Punjab Pakistan. In this regard, the court directed the state government to settle 'interse disagreement' regarding the extent of the help required from Indian home secretary for the repartition. The court passed the direction after Assistant Solicitor General of India S A Makroo submitted that as per the government of India's policy, it was for the state government to take the steps for the repatriation of the foreign nationals. He said the Indian home secretary is only required to extend help as may be required by the state through home secretary, inspector general of police (CID) and Superintendent of jail. Counsel of the Pakistanis, advocate S Hussain said the trial against all of them stands concluded and they have served the sentence awarded to them by the courts.
