Locals stage protest over denial of jobs to youths 7/21/2015 12:27:53 AM Udhampur, July 20: To lodge their protest against alleged denial of jobs to trained and unskilled youth of area by the SICOP Udhampur and Industrial units in the area, a large number of locals hailing from Rathian and Battal Ballian assembled here today and demanded the due share of job to the local youths.Led by Puran Singh Sarpanch Rathian and Manmohan Raina Sarpanch Ballian respectively, the protestors while raising slogans against industrialists and SICOP authorities alleged that industries are giving jobs to the candidates to outsider while locals are totally neglected. Speakers alleged that only 2% of locals are employed in the industries while rest are from outside the state. They also alleged while the locals are employed on contract basis on the other hand the outsider candidates are regularized on the date of appointment. Protestors demanded that more local candidates should be employed in the industries and those who are already engaged should be regularised at earliest. Meanwhile General Manager for industries and Commerce Udhampur, Neelam Khajuria and Division officer of Pollution Control Anil Sharma rushed to the spot and pacified protestors by assuring locals will get more employment share.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
