| HDC organises Ramzan Quiz | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 20: Himalayan Degree College Rajouri organised an Intra-College Ramzan Quiz in the College campus in which large number of students participated.
A total of five teams comprising of four students each displayed their knowledge and understanding of the spirit and purpose of keeping fasts in the month of Ramzan besides many other questions related to the holy life of Prophet (PBUH) and his companions.
Mehran Shah lecturer Urdu coordinated the affairs of the Quiz competition along with Nisar Qazi, Sajjad and Shahid. The program was chaired by principal of the Himlayan college professor Sharief Chouhan and presided over by Vaid Parkash the head Department of English.
The first prize winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 800, whereas second prize and third prize amounting Rs 600 and Rs 400 respectively along with books.
The remaining two teams were also given consolation awards comprising of books on positive literature. The principal in his address also announced a calendar of events/Quiz competitions based on various science and humanities subjects to be organsied in the near future. |
