Licenses of 20 medical shops suspended 8/1/2015 12:00:16 AM Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 31: In its ongoing special drive, the Department of Drug and Food Control Organization Kashmir division inspected 181 Medical shops in various districts of Kashmir division. During the drive which remained in effect from July 28 to 30, Licences of 20 Medical Shops have been suspended for violation of various provisions of Drug and Food Control Act, 1940 and 14 Medical Shops were put on the show cause notices. The Chemist fraternity during the special drive was strictly directed to maintain sale and purchase records of drugs, store drugs as per their requirement and to supply drugs only on presentation of prescription and to issue Cash Memo's strictly. Moreover, the Department has also lifted 29 samples of various categories of drugs from Government and Private Establishments, Wholesalers and Retailers for test and analyze in order to ascertain their quality.
