BJP minister receives an earful for spouse's activities 'Who is mantri? You or your wife?' 8/1/2015 12:15:11 AM Sumit Sharma ET Report Jammu, July 31: "Who is the minister? You or your wife?' This question was asked to the senior most leader of the BJP in Jammu by a Union minister during the meeting over AIIMS issue held in New Delhi on Thursday. Highly placed sources told Early Times that one of the members of delegation from J&K had to face embarrassment when he was asked the reason for the failure to curb activities of his wife which is bringing a bad name to the BJP. The J&K delegation comprised Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, Health Minister Lal Singh, state BJP president Jugal Kishore Sharma, party's J&K affairs in charge Avinash Rai Khanna and general secretary Narendra Singh. The delegation met with the BJP stalwarts in Delhi and held a meeting with Union Health Minister J.P Nadda where Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was also present. Sources said the wife of this particular BJP leader has been acting as a minister and managing all the affairs of her husband which include organizing political meetings. The BJP in the Centre is continuously receiving complaints that the minister's wife has been running transfer industry and is also putting pressure on the employees to act as per her order. Sources said the state BJP high command is also receiving similar complaints that the lady minister’s husband is constantly pressurizing employees falling under her ministry to obey his orders. "Her husband too is running transfer industry. She is lucky enough that she was not the member of the delegation that went to Delhi over AIIMS issue.
