Dangled power cables at PDD Depot pose dangers | | | Early Times Report Ramnagar July 31: The dangling power cables with the help of weak temporary bamboo poles at the Power Development Department (PDD) not only pose dangers to the humans but also to the speechless animals which sometimes get electrocuted in rainy seasons. Locals said that power cables hanging on weak bamboo support, at PDD Depot at Dehri village in Ramnagar have made the area risky for the movement of any lively thing. "Few days back two cattle were killed after the cables fell on them and electrocuted them, local lamented and added despite that none has cared in this regard. "Till date authorities concerned have taken no step to maintain the dangling power wires properly, they said while expressing concerns over vulnerable situation which has made all passersby from the area prone to electric shock hazards. Ram Lal a local farmer said that the villagers are concerned about the well being of their children who play in open and are vulnerable to the risk of dangling cables to fall on them resulting into an emergency. When contacted AEE concerned briefly said when funds will come, the temporary (bamboos Poles) arrangement will be replaced by poles. |
