'Rein in Lal Singh to subdue people's anger' | Cadre shifts blames on Health Minister for present situation in Jammu | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 3: Stunned by the over-whelming response received by the AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) on the fourth day of its strike call in the old city, the Sangh Parivar is now working overtime to ascertain reasons of peoples' brewing anger against BJP leaders and party's ministers. There is feeling among a section of senior RSS leaders it was result of the mishandling of the situation after July 3 announcement that the strike has received good response and people have voluntarily observing hartal. Credible sources said that RSS has deputed its grass-root level workers to interact with common masses to get their feedback on the issue of AIIMS. It is observed by the RSS workers that issue was badly mishandled by all BJP ministers who were not ready to come out of the "intoxication" of power. Instead of taking ACC members into good humour, the over-confident ministers directed party workers from Delhi to start celebrations especially to taunt members of the ACC. Credible sources said that RSS workers have given feedback that people of Jammu city especially sympathisers of BJP are annoyed with the Health Minister, Choudhary Lal Singh. They said that it was all due to arrogant behaviour of Choudhary Lal Singh that people became annoyed with the BJP and even hardcore supporters of the party are shifting all blames on Choudhary Lal Singh for spreading of agitation in the rural areas. Credible sources said that some BJP sympathisers, who is actively participating in the stir, have suggested RSS leaders to rein in arrogant Choudhary Lal Singh to sub-due peoples' anger. Choudhary Lal Singh's irresponsible utterance during press conference two days back has also fuelled anger of the people because in that press conference Choudhary Lal Singh has challenged people of Jammu region and stated that "people of Jammu region are not stronger than people of Kashmir". Furthermore, instead of showing flexibility in tackling the prevailing situation, Choudhary Lal Singh is adamant and is passing unpleasant remarks against members of the ACC. |
