Regional sports meet begins at KV Bantalab 8/25/2015 11:15:38 PM Jammu, Aug 25 : The 46th Regional sports meet U-19 Cricket (Boys) commenced at K.V Bantalab on Tuesday and will continue up to August 27,2015. The ceremony had in presence of D S Bist (DC-CRPF) as the Chief Guest, Vikrant (DC-CRPF), R.S Rathore (AC-CRPF) and CR Bhagat (Principal K V Damana) as the guests of honor. A total of 164 players along with 18 escorts, drawn from 11 different KendriyaVidyalayas of Jammu region participated in the event. After the lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, the formal welcome was presented by the Principal of the host Vidyalaya- VS Kumar. An impressive march past was taken by all teams followed by the oath ceremony by all the captains of different teams. A colorful cultural programme was also presented to mark the occasion. Meanwhile Bist congratulated the Vidyalya for hosting the event and wished a grand success to the players. Finally, he declared the Regional Sports Meet in Cricket (Boys u-19)2015-16 Open.
