GMCH employee felt to be main conspirator in Sunny Baba's escape | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 25: An employee of GMCH, who was said to be accompanying Sunny Baba, is alleged to have extended all possible assistance to the "supari killer" for his escape from the hospital's recovery ward on August 22 last. The GMCH employee is allegedly turning out to be the main conspirator. "He was earlier posted in the GMCH telephone exchange but had recently managed his transfer to the hospital wards," police sources said. It was suspected that he had shifted to the ward duty to help Sunny Baba in his escape from the hospital's recovery ward where he was undergoing treatment for some ailment. He was shifted to ward duties under a conspiracy as the alleged supari killer was admitted in hospital somewhere in July 11. His admission and repeated visits to the hospital on earlier occasions seemed to be the part of a ploy to get acquainted with some hospital employees to get some helping hand in his 'escape plan' which was given final shape on August 22. Sources alleged that the plan of escape was underway for last many months and Sunny had also shared the information in this regard with two other gangsters who were undertrial in a murder case while they too were taken to GMCH for a medical check up. Sources believed that Amit of Jeevan Nagar who was also involved in the Bikram Chowk shoot out also accompanied Sunny Baba and Manav, the GMCH employee. After their escape from the hospital, they went to the house of Manav Pawar from where they left for Srinagar via Mughal Road, sources said. Meanwhile, Nehru Market police have seized the motor-bike, which was suspected to have been used in the shootout at Bikram Chowk, from the house of Manav Pawar at Tanda, Akhnoor. |
