CBI probe sought against ex-Deputy CM | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 25: In a petition, seeking initiation of disciplinary proceedings and withdrawal of security cover of Kewal Krishan Sharma, additional PRO to ex-deputy chief minister Tara Chand today took a new turn when he filed an application in the high court seeking CBI probe into the allegations levelled against the ex-deputy CM and his associates. In the miscellaneous application filed in person by Kewal, it is alleged he is a material witness to the crimes committed by Tara Chand as he was his additional PRO and when his boss came to know he is having the knowledge of such criminal acts and thus persuaded him not to speak against him. However applicant claimed he didn’t succumb to his persuasion and held a press conference highlighting alleged criminal acts of Tara Chand including corruption. He also submitted to court that prior to holding press conference the applicant had submitted his resignation which was not accepted. Kewal alleged despite his complaints against Tara Chand, no action was taken by police in view of his influence and till date no inquiry He prayed that directions be issued to CBI to probe the allegations levelled by him against the former deputy CM and his associates.
