Khan reviews functioning of Commercial Taxes Deptt 8/31/2015 11:49:33 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 31: Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Baseer Ahmad Khan convened a meeting to review the functioning of the department here today. Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Admn) Jammu and all Dy Commissioners Commercial Taxes of Jammu division were also present in the meeting. Khan directed the officers to diligently attend to the task of revenue realization so that targets are achieved. Special emphasis was laid for recovery of arrears and enroute checking of intrastate and interstate transactions to plug the illegal imports and arrest the tendency of evasion of taxes in any form. He emphasized on the expeditious disposal of appeal cases and directed the officers at the cutting edge viz commercial taxes officers, inspectors to inspect the dealers while working within the framework of the statutory rules so as to minimize the instances of tax evasions. He also underscored the need to follow up and pursue litigations before various courts with a view to dispose them off which will result in additional revenue mobilization.
