Jammu, Sept 3: After the flood of 2014, the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu as well as other concerned officers has requested the Government contractors of the Flood Control Division Jammu to execute the necessary important flood protection works under SDRF in Jammu District under the overall supervision of the concerned Departments.
Accordingly, in view of the urgency / importance in the nature of the works, the works have been got executed by the Contractors of Flood Control Division and incurred Crores of Rupees for the purpose but till date no payment has been made.
In this connection, many times the Contractors met Divisional / Deputy Commissioner, Jammu respectively but nothing has been done. After lapse of one year no payment has been made and the contractors are suffering a lot due to financial constraints.
Through the medium of this press conference the contractors would humbly request the authorities to release our pending payment.
Otherwise, we will be compelled to come on Roads and also make Dharna in front of the Chief Minster Residence. |
