| MMBA holds meeting | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 3: The Executive of Mubarak Mandi Bachao Andolan today held a meeting in which they taken note of recent developments regarding handing over of the Complex to ASI.
The executive members of MMBA appreciated the Action Plan prepared by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal as it appeared in press wherein he has recommended handing over of historical Mubarak Mandi Complex to the Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) for preservation, conservation and restoration.
Further appreciation was recorded for not making it a hotel, rather preserving this magnificent Dogra Heritage.
The Executive of the ANDOLAN has expressed deep anguish ever destruction of raised platform which was existing in the Mubarak Mandi Park and has demanded inquiry and action in the matter.
The MMBA has requested the Chief Minister to hand over the complete control of Mubarak Mandi Complex to ASI so that ASI and initiate its restoration, preservation and conservation activities and this magnificent historically and culturally important structure can be saved further damages.
Narsingh Dev Singh Jamwal(Convenor), Hari Chand Jalmeria (Coordinator), Udey Chand, Mohan Singh, Gianeshwar Sharma, joined the meeting. |
