Inter house basketball tournament held at KC Public School 9/3/2015 11:07:39 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 3: Inter House Basketball tournament for both boys and girls under senior and junior categories is a major annual sporting event at KC Public School. After several knock- out fixtures played over a week, the current year' edition concluded today with 4 final matches. The event began with A.K Mishra, Principal of the school, wishing the finalists lined up on the central court best of luck. Hundreds of students were also present at the venue to watch the matches and to cheer up their House teams. The first match in the junior girls' category was played between Jammu and Kashmir Houses. Both the teams played well and eventually Jammu House carried the day with a slim margin of 18-16. The next match for senior girls turned out to be quite exciting with Ladakh House managing a good lead against their spunky opponents with a score of 20-14. In the junior boys' category, Ladakh House trounced Kashmir House 36-17. The last match in the senior boys' category was played between Poonch and Ladakh Houses. Both teams were in good form and the pace of the game was brisk. After several nail-biting moments, Poonch House eventually ousted Ladakh House 30-18. The over-all championship trophy went in favour of Ladakh House on the basis of cumulative points.
