| Tax evasion bid foiled, 240 cement bags seized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 8: Sales Tax Department claimed to have foiled a tax evasion bid with the seizure of a vehicle (tractor) carrying 240 cement bags. A case in this regard stands registered.
Official spokesperson said that one Talib Hussain S/o Shapaya Din R/o Bhag Thali, Kathua was held along with the 240 cement bags which he illegally was carrying.
Spokesperson said," Talib Hussain was held when he was carrying 240 bags of cement loaded in a Tractor (Arjun Mahindra) bearing regd no: JK08B-7339 illegally while evading tax.
"After making necessary formalities, accused person alongwith 240 bags of cement laden on Tractor handed over to Deputy Commissioner Sales Tax, Lakhanpur for further course of action, he added. |
