| Once enjoying political patronage, influential SHO desperate for transfer | | |

JAMMU, Sept 8: Not in the habit of taking orders from seniors, an "influential" SHO, who was very close to an ex-minister, is now-a-days running from pillar to post for his transfer to some other police station in Jammu district. Reason: He is unhappy with the way his senior reprimands him and takes work from him.
This SHO remained posted in almost every police station in Jammu with the support of the ex-minister. But with the change of government in the state, the mood of his seniors towards him has also changed. No one in the department gives him importance.
According to sources, he now-a-days is finding it hard to work under his senior who does not hesitate from reprimanding him in case he shirks work or unauthorisedly remains absent from thana. Finding it hard to work under his senior, he was now taking rounds of the officers of other senior officers for his transfer to some other police station in Jammu district, sources said.
The officer was also said to have marked his absent in the thana and brought the matter to the notice of SSP, Jammu. Two to three inquiries were also stated to have been initiated against him for disobeying seniors.
He also went on medical leave a few days back to avoid contact with the senior police officer but after he failed to manage his transfer to some other police station during the days of his medical leave, he was forced to again join his duties, sources said.
Sources said he had again started approaching his seniors for his transfer. |
