JU holds interview without fixing eligibility | | | Early Times Report jammu, Sept 8: The University of Jammu is again in news for wrong reasons. This time interview for the post of Assistant Professor (Contractual) in remote sensing and GIS has been held without fixing eligibility. It has been learnt that four candidates applied for the above mentioned post but only one turned up for interview held on September 7. It was further learnt that a candidate who turned around 12 a.m was not allowed by the selection committee which alleged that the interview was conducted without issuing proper notification. A notification, it needs to be made clear, was published in a few newspapers but was deferred for unknown reasons. Instead a notification was uploaded on the website of the university for the Monday interview. Insiders said the people close to the VC were chosen for conducting the interview. The VC, insiders said called a meeting of the campus dean committee (CDC) to fix eligibility for the post. It is in place to mention here that the eligibility for all teaching and non-teaching posts is fixed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). |
