JAMMU, Sept 8: PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI), J&K State Committee in a meeting held here today hailed the decision of Union Minister for Telecom for increasing the minimum broadband speed of BSNL services to 2 mbps.
The Chamber feels that this was a long overdue step and will be of benefit to J&K in terms of online Trade and commerce particularly in Tourism, Handicrafts and other affiliated sectors.
Meanwhile, PHDCCI in a meeting welcomed the appointment of B R Sharma as the Chief Secretary of J&K State and wished him all success in his tenure.
The Chamber also acknowledged the excellent and successful tenure of outgoing Chief Secretary, Iqbal Khandey and thanked him for his positive contribution towards Commerce, Trade and Industry in particular. |
