| Police book teacher in alleged molestation case | | | Early Times Report
Poonch Sept 17: Police today formally booked a school teacher accused of sexually harassing a girl student while the Education Department also placed the accused under suspension.
According to police sources, taking cognizance of the complaint from the family members of girl student of 9th Class student studying at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Sheesh Mahal Poonch to school principal alleging therein a teacher namely Daljeet Singh is sexually harassing her a case was registered in this regard.
Pertinent to mention that acting on the complaint, the principal wrote to CEO, Poonch, Lal Hussain who immediately constituted a probe panel of two principals.
Meanwhile following the complaint, a case was formally registered today against the accused in Police Station Poonch under FIR No 133 u/s 354 RPC. However the accused yet has not been arrested.
Meanwhile, the Education Department has placed the accused under suspension and attached him at Directorate Office Jammu while a probe is being conducted by Joint Director Mr Iqbal. |
