Early Times Report Rajouri, Sept 17: Police organized a awareness programme to generate new generation aware about ill affects of drug abuse here today and Sr Superitendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri and other officials interacted with the students of Government Degree College (GDC) Sunderbani and Swami Vishatmanand Sarswati Ji Maharaj Degree college at Sunderbani under 'Civic Action Programme-CAP'. The programme witnessed an overwhelming response from students and atleast 450 studenst from both colleges participated in this programme. Besides students and faculty of colleges, the function was attended by prominent citizens, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area. The interactive session was held with an objective to make aware the young minds to refrain from falling prey to drugs / other anti-social activities. Sargun Shukla (IPS), SDPO Nowshera, Dr Sahil Jhndiyal, (KAS), BDO and Pankaj Sassan, KAS, Tehslidar Sunderbani also interacted with the students. While making youth aware about the nefarious designs of drug traffickers/ peddlers, SSP Rajouri Dr Haseeb Mughal, said, "Rajouri police have initiated various programme like seminars , debates , painting/essay competitions at schools and colleges in the entire district to generate awareness among youths. Dr Mughal also said that it is the duty of every citizen of this country to contribute towards drug-free society and help Police to curb smuggling / menace of drugs from the country. |
