JAMMU, Sept 17 : Government College for Women (GCW) Parade clinched the annual inter-college women's Basketball trophy after they defeated the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments 31-14 in the final played at MA Stadium, here today.
Kanupriya and Sayali played superb game from winning GCW Parade while Diksha and Sonali defended well from PG. Arjuna Awardee gymnastics coach and member of the State Sports Council,
Krupali Patel Singh was chief guest, who presented the running trophy to Parade College. Also present were Suman Sharma, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Manjit Singh, Rajinder Magotra, Sudesh Sharma and Vikas Karlopia. This tournament was organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education of University of Jammu. The Final officiated by the technical penal including Aman Sharma, Manoj Kumar, Harpreet Singh, Sumit Dogra and Rajesh Bhagat.
KHO KHO : Meanwhile, Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor shall take on Government College for Women (GCW) Kathua in the final of the inter-college women's Kho-Kho tournament being played at JU grounds, here today. In the semifinals, GDC Akhnoor defeated Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar 04-03 while GCW Kathua blanked GDC Kathua 4-0. |
