POONCH, Sept 17 : Two-day sports meet in women's section under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) got underway at Sports Stadium, here today. The competition is being held in the disciplines of Hockey, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Athletics under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS). Member Legislative Council (MLC), Poonch, Yash Paul Sharma was chief guest in the closing function of day-one of the events, who gave away the prizes to the winners.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by SSP Pooch, JS Johar, who interacted with the participants. Also present were Sham Lal Sharma, Nirdosh Kumar, Rajinder Singh, Narinder Singh, Sarla Bakshi, Narjeet Singh, Mohd Qasim, and Tej Kour. This sports meet is being organised under the overall supervision of district officer (DYSS), Sunil Singh Sambyal. Today's events officiated by the technical penal comprising Jasmeet Kour, Ruchicka Sharma, Narinder Singh, Neeraj Sharma , Sourab Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Pawan Kumar and Sanjay Kumar

HOCKEY : Government Degree College Pooch beat Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sheesh Mahal, Poonch.
VOLLEYBALL : Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sheesh Mahal Pooch bt Guru Niwas High School, Poonch. |
