RAMBAN, Sept 17: Block level Rural sports competition under centrally sponsored scheme Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan organized by the department of Youth Services and Sports in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Athletics concluded here at the ground of High Secondary School, Tethar.
As many as 220 players from twelve Panchayats and Block Banihal participated in sports disciplines with spirit and enthusiasm. In Kabaddi discipline, Panchayat Changloo got first position, Panchayat Nowgam 2nd and Panchayat Tethar 3rd. In Kho-Kho, Panchayat Tethar-A Ist, and Panchayat Tethar-B 2nd while Panchayat Krawa clinched 3 rd spot. In Voleyball, Chamalwas secured 1st position ,Tethar 2nd and Dooligam 3rd while In 100m race, Usman Saleem of Tethar stood 1st , Adil of Dooligam 2nd and Danish of Banihal 3rd . In long jump, Amir Ahmed of Banihal secured 1st place, Faqir Ahmed of Tethar 2nd, Mustafa of Dooligam remained 3rd. In shotput, Junaid Ahmed of Chareel stood 1st, Ishfaq of Banihal 2nd Sajjad Ahmed of Dooligam 3rd. |
