| SMVDU organizes fresher's meet | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 17 : The annual Fresher's meet 'Concordance 2015' was celebrated with zeal and fervor in the Matrika auditorium of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
Concordance in SMVDU is an occasion for cordial get together of seniors and juniors besides being an initiative of the senior students to provide a platform to freshers' to showcase their talent.The Board of Cultural Activities of the Students' Council, which is one of the student-empowering initiatives of the University organized the programme. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Registrar, Deans & Directors and faculty members also attended the annual congregation of students which is organized under the aegis of the Board of Cultural Activities.
Anand Upadhyay welcomed the audience by reciting his creativity in the form of Poetry to energize the gathering and highlighted the features of being a student of SMVDU. The schedule had many events such as Dances, Songs, Folk song depicting J&K's culture followed by an enthusiastic performance Drum Solo by the Nayan Tiwari followed by these series of events and Fresher's crown were given to Raghav and Akriti. |
