| Samba, Sept 17: Inter Block District level rural sports meet under RGKA Girls category started at Sports Stadium Samba today. The tournament is being organized by the department of YS&S as a part of annual calendar of sports activities under the patronage of Jahangir Mir, Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K State and the overall supervision of District Youth Services Sports Officer Samba, Subash Chander Bhardwaj. 30 teams comprising of 211 girls from all over the district participated in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Badminton. After close competition, girls of block Vijaypur clinched the volleyball trophy.Rakhi and Avantika were judged outstanding players in the Volleyball category. Girls from Ghagwal block grabbed winner's trophy in Kabaddi. Ritika Devi from Ghagwal block was judged best raider of the tournament. |
