Natrang presents 'Dard Apna Apna' in Sunday Theatre | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 4 : This Sunday, Natrang presented a very impactful performance of N.D. Jamwal's Dogri play 'Dard Apna Apna' at its Studio Theatre in Sunday Theatre Series. The play was directed by Rahul Singh. N.D. Jamwal, an eminent multi-dimensional art personality himself witnessed the performance and expressed his appreciation on watching the performance and also congratulated the participating artists and technical coordinators; he also interacted with the artists. Director Natrang, Balwant Thakur informed that Natrang is going to present its popular children play 'Aaap Hamare Hain Kaun' on 5th and 6th of October, 2015 at 6 pm at Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground, Jammu. The play 'Dard Apna Apna' opens in the house of one writer who lives there along with his elder sister and just a few months old nephew. Though he is living in poverty (what else could be the circumstance of a writer in a society where there is not appropriate appreciation of art) yet he is full of zeal and has the courage to face the hardships of life and his art is his inner strength. As life was running at the regular pace amongst the daily chores, suddenly an armed man (listed as a militant) barged into his house as he was being chased by the police. The peaceful atmosphere of the home turned out to be nightmarish. The unwanted guest scares them and threats for the dire consequences if they do not cooperate in giving shelter to him. But the brother and sister were not as unwelcoming as he thought them to be. They offer him food and empathy which was much needed by him. After spending some time at their place, the person who was appearing dreadful in the beginning, turned emotional and remorseful. |
