Bureaucrat humiliates BJP Minister's envoy | Throws recommendation letter into dustbin | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: A top bureaucrat has reportedly humiliated an envoy of the BJP minister, who had approached him with a letter recommending that a few officers should be reshuffled and posted at the key positions. Sources told Early Times an officer to the rank of Commissioner/Secretary ostensibly threw the recommendation letter of the BJP minister into a dustbin and made it clear to the bearer that BJP ministers have no authority to write to him. The officer not only threw the letter into dustbin but also asked bearer to tell the minister that he should not dare to give instructions to him again. Sources said a BJP Minister of State (MoS) had written a letter to the Commission/Secretary of a particular department to adjust some officers on important positions. The MoS had reportedly suggested names of some officers/officials whom he wanted at the key positions. Without giving an eye to the letter, the "all powerful" Commissioner/ Secretary tore the letter, in front of the bearer, and threw it into the dustbin. Sources revealed that Cabinet Minister of the said MoS has given directions to the officers not to pay any heed towards the recommendation letters sent by BJP ministers. Insiders claimed that BJP minister have turned into a "laughing stock" as none of the PDP ministers take them seriously. "On the other hand BJP ministers are at loggerheads with each other due to which they have lost their credibility," they added. Sources said that bureaucracy in the State has realized that BJP ministers-both Cabinet and MoS, do not have any vision. Bureaucracy has realized that majority of the BJP ministers are least concerned about programmes and policies of the government. "They (BJP ministers) are only interested in transfers and postings so senior officers pay a little heed towards their directions," they added. A senior bureaucrat told some media persons that it is really unfortunate to take directions from BJP ministers who are working under the influence some businessmen and power brokers. |
