Jammu, Oct 4: A youth was allegedly stabbed over a land dispute at Data Talab falling under the jurisdiction of Bari Brahmana police station.
Police said that the incident took place when the victim identified as Sandev Singh (31) son of Late Satpal Singh of Birpur come to know that some local uprooted cemented poles along with barbed wire. Police sources said that he was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon and had injury on his head. While assailants also pelted stones on Sandev resulting multiple injuries to him. He was shifted to Vijaypur hospital wherein doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advance treatment. Police said that in the matter a case of trespassing had already registered against 9 persons identified as Suresh Kumar, Girdhari Lal, Gari Lal, Janak Raj, Bishan Dass, Krishan Chand Bansi lal, Mohan Lal and Romesh Lal and was challaned in the court of law. Police have registered a fresh case in this connection and started investigation in this regard. |
