JAMMU, Oct 29 : In continuation to the series of functions being organized as part of its Vigilance awareness week celebrations, the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Northern Region-II, Jammu arranged an inter school debate competition at Army Public School, Jammu. The topic of the competition was "Is corruption free India possible" . Seventeen renowned schools across the Jammu province participated in the debate competition. The debate was one of the largest debate competitions organized in recent past in the city of temples with schools from as far as Akhnoor also participating. Children spoke for and against the motion with full confidence and authority on the subject. Glaring examples of corruption as well as integrity were quoted by these young speakers with such ease that the audience present remained spell bound. The schools that participated in this debate competition were Heritage Public School, BSF Sr. Secondary School, Delhi Public School, APS Jammu Cantt, Jammu Sanskriti School, APS Ratnu Chak, APS Kaluchak, APS B D Bari, MHAC Nagbani, MV International, Air Force School, K C Gurukul, JK Public School, APS Domana, G D Goenka, Jodhamal Public School and DCM Akhnoor. Harsimar Kaur of Jodhamal Public School emerged as the winner of the competition while Mrigu Sambyal of Heritage School, Roopsi of BSF Sr. Sec. School and Sunidhi Sharma of K C Gurukul received 2nd, 3rd and consolation prizes respectively. |
