| Mobile school teachers' workshop concluded | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 29 : The four day training workshop for mobile school teachers which was being organized by National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society (NCURDS), Jammu, concluded today here at Government College for Woman Parade, Jammu with a colourful valedictory function.
The program was catalyzed and supported by the Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, for Popularization of science activities under ST plan (project). The valedictory function was presided by HR Pakhroo Joint Director School Education Jammu whereas Prof. Reenu Goswami, Principal GCW Prade Jammu were the Guest of honour on the occasion. Earlier Dr. Ashaq Hussain, Chairman Coordination Committee presented a brief report of various activities performed during the four day workshop. He in his report added that during the four days program Jawaid Alam, Master resource person, Patna and Zia Ahmed Khan, Master resource person, Aligarh in a coherent way explained and practised various concept of science related to the school syllabus with the help of simple activities in order to foster the spirit of learning through doing. Since these teachers perform their duties in an open environment mostly to Nomad Children in meadows efforts were done to take science to these teachers with the help of nature exploration that's why this workshop was named as nature workshop. |
