Kathua Campus, JU organizes workshop on technological applications 10/29/2015 11:52:36 PM Early Times Report KATHUA, Oct 29 : Department of Computer Science and IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu today organized a one day workshop on "Recent technologies and their applications in the IT industry" for the students of MCA programme. Dharamveer Singh, Project Head, SEBIZ Technologies, Chandigarh and Nitin Bajaj from NET SMARTZ Technologies Chandigarh were the resource persons. They discussed the recent trends and technologies of IT industry and also made students aware of the necessary skills required to seek placements and excel in the IT world. Earlier, in the welcome address Deepak Gupta In-charge MCA welcomed the resource persons. He said that this workshop will enhance academic as well as technical skills in the students. The workshop comprised of two sessions. In the first session, Dharamveer Singh introduced students with Application Software and web designing fields of Information Technologies like PHP, JAVA, Andriod, iphone development etc. and their applications in the current industrial scenario. In the second session a Demo Placement Drive was carried out by the resource persons, wherein a general aptitude test was conducted.
