JAMMU, Oct 29 : Part of its continuous endeavours to produce national and international sport climbers in J&K, Tawi Trekkers arranged a specialized coaching cum practice camp for state climbers who have been selected in the North Zone team for participation in the forthcoming National Sport Climbing Competition to be held at Delhi from November 27 to November 30. The weeklong camp to be conducted from October 31 to November six at international standard climbing walls in Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) Complex, New Delhi under the supervision of national coaches. The camp has been jointly sponsored by former MLA Ashwani Sharma, Principal of Shangrilla Public School, Sarwal Jammu, Surestha Khajuria, Administrator, Oriental Academy Higher Secondary School, Jammu, Vivek Chauhan and Director of Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Jammu, Arti Sharma. While thanking the sponsors for their liberal assistance Shawetica Khajuria, general secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K, Shwetica Khajuria hoped that the camp would go a long way in sharpening and strengthening the climbing skills of the participants besides giving them the necessary exposure to climb on international standard climbing walls which would prepare them adequately to win medals in the national competition. |
