Dyala Chak, Birma Pul residents protest over ‘depleted streets’

Udhampur, Oct 29: The residents of Dyala Chak and Birma Pul of Udhampur today stages protest against administration alleging it had failed to repair depleted conditions of streets of their locality which is causing inconvenience to the locals especially the old and children. The protestors led by Ashok Kumar amid slogans against local administration alleged that conditions of the streets in their locality are bad and they have taken up the matter with concerned many times yet no action has been taken till date. Ashok Kumar said the things get from bad to worst during rains as the inundated pot holes.
turns hazardous for the pedestrians and the drivers as well making them vulnerable to accidents. Beside this the streets lights have gone dysfunctional which makes the movement of locals risky during late night hours.
Protestors threatened if the concerned department fails to resolve their problems the residents will be left with no option but to intensify their stir.
