| Air Force organizes symposium on Preventive vigilance | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Oct 29: Air Force Jammu today organized a symposium on the topic “Preventive vigilance as a tool of Good Governance” on Thursday.
As an initiative towards the regime of transparency and in commemoration of the Vigilance awareness week being Air Force Jammu organized symposium on the topic “Preventive vigilance as a tool of Good Governance.
On the occasion SSP Vigilance MY Kichloo was the chief guest. Beside others senior Air force officers were present on the occasion. SSP Vigilance spoke on different aspects having their impact on the good governance by observing preventive vigilance. He highlighted the right to guarantee Act, Right to Information Act and role of Vigilance officers as well as the self uprightless of the officials and public.
He stressed on the need to increase accountability and clarity in policy directives to reduce corruption. He also spoke on the government’s commitment and keenness to eradicate corruption. He spoke on the need to educate airmen on the correct procedures and practices while discharging their duties. He stressed on the need to take decisions in conformity with rules and transparency in the procurement processes adopted.
