AISF demands separate Board for winter zone | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Oct 29: Keeping in mind the geographical and erratic weather conditions of Chenab Valley Region, State President of All India Students Federation (AISF) Comrade Mukesh Parihar demanded a separate Board of School Education for this region. In a statement Mukesh Parihar said that there are two separate Boards in the state for Jammu and Kashmir in order to ensure smooth and better functioning of the school education in the State. But due to difference in geographical and inaccessible areas Chenab Valley Region, a separate board is needed. In a statement he said that JKBOSE Jammu always conducts examination in the region in two separate phases ,one for summer zone and other for winter zone. Distt Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban and some areas of Distt Udhampur like Kud, Patnitop, Sudhmahadev including those falling in areas of higher attitude fall in winter zone and rest of the areas and Distt falls in the summer zone under JKBOSE Jammu. Most often it has been experienced that JKBOSE Jammu has postponed the exams and sometime pre-poned due to which the students suffer badly. He appealed to Higher Education Minister Naeem Akhter to conceive this genuine demand of the students federation adding that many social and political organizations have supported the demand of AISF.
