HC directs BOPEE to select petitioner in MD/MS in ALC category 10/30/2015 12:21:36 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 29: High court judge Ali Mohammad Magrey has directed BOPEE to treat Sovia Anand under ALC category while according consideration for her selection as per the January 8, 2015 Notification 01-BOPEE. The court direction came in a petition filed by her, seeking direction to BOPEE to treat the her under ALC category while according consideration to her candidature for selection for undergoing MD/MS/PG Diploma and MDS in reference to Notification No 01-BOPEE of January 8, 2015 and also seeking direction to select and allocate discipline/stream of MD/MS/PG Diploma course by treating her as ALC candidate and not the open merit candidate in view of the delay in renewal of her ALC certificate by the revenue officials.” Justice Magrey, after hearing the two sides, allowed the petition and directed BOPEE to consider the petitioner under ALC category while according the consideration for undergoing MD/MS/PG Diploma and MDS under ALC category in terms of the January 8, 2015 notification against the seat reserved by the division bench in terms of order dated May 28, 2015. The court also directed that to select and allocate discipline/stream of MD/MS/PG Diploma course by treating the petitioner as candidate belonging to ALC category. The court further directed BOPEE that the process for according consideration shall be completed within a period of one week from today.
