| Parking row: JMC Com, Treasury Officer lodge complaints against each other | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 29: Unrest erupted in the premises of Jammu Municipal Corporation Complex which houses Govt Treasury Office also following a scuffle between Jammu Municipal Commissioner Mandeep Kour and Treasury officer Riyaz Ahmed over the parking issue which later involved their subordinates who also went on rampage.
According to police sources, following the heated arguments the two officials have moved complaints against each other in City Police Station for lodging of FIR against each other.
As per sources, the incident took place during office hours when JMC Commissioner reached her office. “A high voltage drama took place when Treasury Officer Riyaz Ahmed parked his vehicle at the place reserved for the JMC Commissioner’s vehicle, they said.
“Following JMC Commissioner’s direction, her driver deflated the tyre of the vehicle of Treasury Officer, which attracted attention of the employees of Sadar Treasury (Main Treasury) being housed within the Municipality Complex and then started the blame game from either side,” sources added
Meantime agitated JMC employees who joined the heated chorus went on rampage when one of the employees broke wind sheet of the vehicle escalating the tensions. Later it was after the intervention of the police official the matter was pacified.
Meanwhile police sources said that though no FIR was lodged, but investigation on the part of City police over the matter is in progress.
