Separatists should desist from anti-national activities: VHP
10/30/2015 12:23:40 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 29:Hitting out at separatists for their strike call on the anniversary of ‘Accession Day’, the VHP today said they should desist from “anti-national” activities and also urged the government to take action against them.
“We warn separatists to desist from anti-national activities as they had called for a strike in the Valley on the anniversary of Accession Day,” state VHP patron Ramakant Dubey told reporters here.
Normal life was disrupted on October 27 in Kashmir due to a strike called by separatists in protest against the landing of army in the Valley on this day in 1947.
“We appeal to the administration to throw out these anti- national elements from the state so that they are taught a lesson,” he said.
“No country in the world can tolerate anti-national activities anywhere from any of its nationals,” Dubey said, adding, Jammu and Kashmir will remain an inseparable part of the country.
“They (separatists) should see that it is only in India where every religious community irrespective of caste and creed is enjoying equal rights and living without any interference by the government in their personal independence,” he said.
The VHP patron said in 1947 the then Maharaja Hari Singh, who had legal rights on Jammu and Kashmir had signed the historic instrument of Accession with the Union of India of his free will.
“This Accession was also ratified by the state’s constituent Assembly in 1954 where the tallest leader of the state, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, was also present”, he added.
“Such people should feel happy that they are in India,” he said, adding, no where else in the world legal nationals became migrants in the manner the Kashmiri Pandits did.
He said the state is running on laws of the country and added that people should see the anti-national activities which the country has been tolerating since a long time.
“They are raising anti-national slogans, hoisting anti-national flags, creating disturbance. They should desist from such activities,” he said.
“Separatists should know about the treatment meted out to those who had migrated to Pakistan during 1947. These people are still being treated as second class citizens and branded as ‘Muhazirs’,” he said.
