NSF seeks CM's intervention to fix accountability | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 19: Flaying the failure of Vice Chancellor of Jammu University (JU) to punish the Course Coordinators who were responsible for closure of four Post Graduate Courses in Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), the National Secular Forum (NSF) has sought the intervention of Chief Minister (Pro-Chancellor of the University) to fix the accountability for the same. Addressing a press conference, senior vice president Surjit Choudhary said "M.A course in Political Science and Economics closed during mid-session in Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) leaving hundreds of students in dilemma. Further, B Ed and M.Ed courses were also closed for the reasons best known to the Vice Chancellor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma. The Vice Chancellor is shielding all the Coordinators whose failure led to the shutting of four courses hence probe necessitated." The NSF urged the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohd Sayeed (Pro-Chancellor of the University) to immediately intervene and ask the Vice Chancellor to conduct inquiry into the reasons due to which the courses were closed, so that accountability could be fixed on the people who were behind the mess. |
