Jammu drivers play vulgar music in mini buses | Traffic police in slumber | | Bijay Charak
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 19: Despite ban on the use of any sound systems in the passenger vehicles, the matador drivers in Jammu play music at high volume. Rajesh Bhagat a student of Jammu university said that the mini bus and bus drivers operate sound systems at high base which creates noise pollution and also threat to the lives of passengers. "In city matadors drivers deliberately play vulgar songs in their vehicles which subjects women especially the college girls to inconvenience. "Two years ago traffic police had launched a campaign against the erring drivers and a number of sound systems were seized. But no action is taken today. It is pertinent to mention here that as per the traffic Rules in Jammu and Kashmir the use of any sound systems is prohibited in the passenger vehicles and is punishable under article R 305/177 but by mean of collusion normally termed as (Entry) paid by drivers to the traffic police the prohibition is being violated in the mini buses, buses and other passengers vehicles dauntlessly. Repeated calls to SSP Traffic Jammu went in vain. |
